Telecom Software Solutions for 4G 3G Network with GGSN | PGW
We are providing development services for the LTE 4G 3G network data. Our solution supports GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node) and PGW (Packet Data Network Gateway).
The GGSN is a connection between the GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) wireless data network and other external packet data networks(PDN) such as radio networks, IP networks, or private networks. GPRS is a Tunneling protocol based on IP/UDP which is used in GSM, UMTS, and LTE core networks. The GGSN, also known as a wireless router.
It includes two main procedures the User Data Transfer (GTP-U) and GTP Signaling and Control (GTP-C).
- GTP-C— use to activate and deactivate subscriber sessions between the S-GW and P-GW. It supports transport of control packets in IPv4 format.
- GTP-U— use to transports user data within the core GPRS network and between the Radio Access Network (RAN) and the core network. It also supports IPv4 and IPv6 user data.
It also maintains the fundamental data required to route the user traffic towards the Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN) and Public Data Network (PDN). The main function of the GGSN is to check if the user is active or not, then forwarding the data to the specified user.
PGW (Packet Data Network Gateway ) is a critical network function for the evolved packet core (EPC). The PGW is an interface between the LTE network and other packet data networks. It is responsible for policy enforcement, UE IP address allocation, Charging and UL and DL bearer binding.
After combining these functions into a single platform, can reduce signaling overhead, distribute session management, and maximize the control.
